Four Wentworth Sailors entered the largest centreboard regatta in the southern hemisphere on December 5th and 6th, the Sir Peter Blake Regatta. Every sailor was given a pair of red socks in commemoration of the 20th anniversary since Sir Peter himself wore them and brought the Americas Cup to NZ.
All four sailors were sailing in relatively new boats to them personally and had incredible results. Sailing conditions were perfect on both days.
Harper Johnston achieved a Silver in Starling Green, Sean Herbert a Silver in Starling Open, Oliver Reeves 24th and Liam Herbert 26th in the Laser Radial class against Olympic sailors.

UNISS Update - final results
Huge congratulations to our Premier Netball girls. Coach, Tania Cargo, says the girls have
played some fantastic netball this week and, after one win and one loss in the
semi-finals today, the girls have moved up a grade, qualifying to compete in
the 'B' grade at UNISS next year. With
only the top 3 from 32 in a division, it was no mean feat. An awesome effort from a very committed and
talented team.

Intermediate Netball
The Intermediate Netball had a very tough game on Thursday, losing by a small margin to Whangaparaoa. However, they have another chance against this team in their Grade final coming up this week! The game will be as tough as last week, but with all the hard work that the girls have put in, we all know it is something that can be achieved! Bring on Thursday!

Netball game reports
North Harbour Premier
The Premier team had an incredible week with their games! Playing against Whangaparaoa, our friends off court and huge competitors on court, the girls gave a great display of team work and trust in each other. Wentworth won 36 to 31, and held the lead for the entire game.
HBC Team 1
To finish the Wentworth Team 1/NH Premiers' week off on even more of a high, they won their semi-final against RnB Angels, for the Hibiscus Coast Premier competition. This puts the team in the final for Premier 1 next Saturday. All our hard work is starting to pay off!
North Harbour Intermediate
This team are punching well above their weight this season. With a team of four Year 8s and six Year 7s playing in a Year 8 grade, we are unbeaten for the entire season placing us at the top of our grade. All the girls are working extremely hard and developing their Netball skills amazingly. Well done girls, this will be a great experience for AIMS.

Netball North Harbour Team 2
Over the weekend, Team 2 won their game 23-18 against Westlake 9, lifting the team to the Number 1 spot on the table! Having lost a game against Westlake 9 in Term 2 by just one goal, this win shows the determination and improvement in the team, with players giving it their all right from the very first whistle. Congratulations girls!

Netball North Harbour - Team 2
Team 2 won our game 28-19 against Hobsonville point Team 1. Wentworth played to the rainy conditions, and considering two of our stronger players were out, we did exceptionally well.

Netball North Harbour - Team 1
Following the loss of 3 of our players to the Queenstown ski trip, Wednesday's game against Carmel 1 was tough for everyone. An amazing final quarter where we pulled back 6 goals meant we only lost by 14. I was very proud of the way we all held our heads high and fought till the end! It was a great learning experience for us all. Rosie Reeves
Netball North Harbour - Intermediate Team
The Wentworth Intermediate Netball team won Thursday's game against Murrays Bay 19-14. The players demonstrated fierce determination and hard work to win despite being one player short. Congratulations to the two Players of the Day, Mia Boot & Natasha Coutts, who worked their combination of GA & GS superbly well with consistent goals from great feeds through the court. An impressive all round effort. Well done girls.

Intermediate Netball
Another very good game for the Intermediate Netball team last week, winning 22-17 against Kristin. It was a good, fair game with both teams playing some excellent netball. Congratulations to Millie Wilton (Player of the Day) for her excellent work and on-form shooting. Also worthy of mention are Samantha Baranyai for excellent defence and Paige Robinson for intercepts. Amanda Walbran
What a fantastic Round 1 for the Intermediate team! Winning every single game this half has placed the girls 2nd in their grade, meaning they go up to 'championship' which is the top 6 of their grade. Congratulations on your amazing performances so far, Intermediate girls!

Premier 1 Netball
The Premier 1 Netball team ended their first half of the season on a complete high. Beating Carmel 2 48-13 meant that we placed 5th equal overall in the premier grade of the North Harbour Competition. Even though we battled with injury, I am very proud of all the hard work and determination that the girls have shown. Bring on Round 2!

Congratulations to Wentworth golfers for their very successful end to the season. The last competition of the season was the Auckland/North Harbour Secondary Schools' Strokeplay competition, played at Redwood Park. Despite at times torrential rain and very wet, cold conditions, Sam Yoshifuji finished the day in a tie for eighth place, Davis Oh finished in a tie for fourth, Krystal Hu finished in fifth place, captain Shani White in fourth, and our ‘Little Lydia’, Bohyun Park, won the tournament! Huge congratulations to all our golfers for a great season.

Netball North Harbour IntermediateTean
The Intermediate Netball team are competing incredibly well in the Year 8 competition at North Harbour, with only 4 Year 8's in the team. What started off as a tight game against Belmont Intermediate ended with a good win 8-3. Beau was awarded player of the day for her quick through- court play and intercepts during her entire game. Congratulations Beau and all the intermediate players. Bring on next week! Rosalie Reeves (coach)

Wentworth girls make Netball North Harbour Representatives
Congratulations to Millie Wilton, Mckenzie Wilton and Mia Cunningham South for being selected for their age respective grades at Netball North Harbour. What an awesome achievement girls!
Senior Boys hockey
The senior boys' Hockey team had a tough 1 all draw against Rosmini this week. A tight match saw Wentworth up 1 goal at half time, however Rosmini played a stronger second half and managed to equalise, with neither team able to score the winning shot. The boys showed some nice linking play and remain unbeaten this season.
Netball - NNH Team 2
Netball
Netball North Harbour team 2 played Carmel 8 last week and won 38-7. This is their second grading game that they have won by quite some margin, and will hopefully get stronger competition for next week’s game. The next 2 weeks continue as grading games so the girls still need good wins to get into a higher grade and have appropriate competition for the season. The team looks very strong and fluid in their play, and they should perform well throughout the season. Some of this team are also supporting Team 1, playing in the Rodney Challenge and being reserves as and when needed.

Netball Wentworth Prems Rodney Challenge.
Another great win WW Prems (64-44) last week at Wellsford. Nice to get everyone out on the court, with special thanks to KJ and Kendall for helping us out. Great to see you take up this opportunity and to see your committment to WW netball.

Congratulations to Wentworth golfer, BoHyun Park (Year 8),
who achieved 3rd place at the first National Invitational Golf Tournament held
at the Mangawhai Golf Club last weekend. The competition was open to
all year levels and BoHyun was one of the youngest in the competition, playing
against mainly adults. This was BoHyun's first time playing at Mangawhai
and she was very pleased with the conditions and her result - joint second
place, moved to third on count-back.
Miniball Comets - 17th May 2015
The Comets faced a more
experienced team when they played against the Stanmore Bay Boltz 2. The
Comets made a determined effort when on defence and there were some exciting
passages of attacking play. Corbus Luke was our Player of the Day as he
showed some excellent ball control on attack and he worked hard to defend a
tough opposition. Having the opportunity to play against more experienced
teams enables us to learn to compete at a higher level and develop new game
skills and strategies. Well done Comets for demonstrating excellent
sportsmanship after a hard fought match. See you at training on Sunday.

HBC Netball Team 1
WW1 played amazing on Saturday afternoon at HBC to draw their game against one of the top Premier sides at HBC, 42 ALL. The girls showed great commitment and the ability to stay calm and do the work when they were 5 down in the last quarter. So proud of you! Coach Tania Cargo
Netball North Harbour Team 1
On Wednesday Wentworth Premier Team 1 went into probably one of the hardest games they will play this season, against Westlake Premier 1. Our girls have trained hard pre-season and it paid off with only a 12 point difference. This is impressive considering Wentworth (with only 3 college and 1 intermediate team) were close to Westlake who have at least 1,000 girls to choose from. Special mention goes out to McKenzie Wilton and Mia Cunningham South who were forced into a new combination for the night due to the absence of defender,Rosalie Reeves. The new duo defended well using the ‘lift’ and other forms of defence to charge down and intercept numerous passes. A good first effort for our girls against Westlake, and they will all be keen to see just how much they can improve the score line next around.
Senior Boys Hockey
Senior Boys Hockey 6th May
This week the team was successful in their second match of the season, winning 3 – 1 against Westlake Boys' Junior. Everyone played well and showed great commitment to the team during an end to end match. Some stunning goals by Sam Bailey finished off a great win for the team.
