Golf Update - 1 June
Wentworth golfers were playing in the Auckland Regional Strokeplay Championships. The first round was played at the Akarana Golf Course in Mt Roskill. It was a very cold day and most of the golfers struggled with the soft conditions. In the boys' competition, Davis Oh lies in 9th= position but only 3 shots from the lead. The girls struggled a little more but Amy Im is currently in 6th place, Apple Ngamwong in 7th place and Iida Rissanen in 10th place. The second round will be played at Muriwai Golf course in August.

Winning Finale to College Golf Season - Monday, 25th May
Congratulations to Wentworth golfers for their very successful end to the season. The last competition of the season was the Auckland/North Harbour Secondary Schools' Strokeplay competition, played at Redwood Park. Despite at times torrential rain and very wet, cold conditions, Sam Yoshifuji finished the day in a tie for eighth place, Davis Oh finished in a tie for fourth, Krystal Hu finished in fifth place, captain Shani White in fourth, and our ‘Little Lydia’, Bohyun Park, won the tournament! Huge congratulations to all our golfers for a great season.

Congratulations to Wentworth golfer, BoHyun Park (Year 8),
who achieved 3rd place at the first National Invitational Golf Tournament held
at the Mangawhai Golf Club last weekend. The competition was open to
all year levels and BoHyun was one of the youngest in the competition, playing
against mainly adults. This was BoHyun's first time playing at Mangawhai
and she was very pleased with the conditions and her result - joint second
place, moved to third on count-back.

Golf
The golfers got their season underway last week but unfortunately faced a strong side from Massey High School. The results were not in our favour but hopes are high for greater performance in the next match against Rosmini at the Peninsula Golf Course.
